Infinix Smart 8 Launched In Nigeria With 90Hz Display

The Nigerian market now has access to a new affordable smartphone from Infinix. Infinix Smart 8 is their latest smartphone. The Smart 7 was revealed earlier this year, and this is its replacement. It’s important to note that this is the same smartphone as the Tecno POP 8, which was leaked a few days ago. Infinix and Tecno are products of Transsion Holdings, so this is not unexpected. A 6.6-inch screen with HD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and 550 nits of brightness are standard on the Infinix Smart 8. It has a pill-sized cutout that enlarges to accommodate charging and status updates, much to Apple’s Dynamic Island. It is referred to by the brand as the Magic Ring. The power button on the side of the gadget can also be used as a fingerprint reader. 

There is a gradient on the rear of the Infinix Smart 8. The camera module is square and doesn’t stick out too much. It has a 13-megapixel sensor, a VGA depth lens, and LED flash. In front, there is an 8MP camera for taking selfies.

A UniSoc T606 CPU powers the Infinix Smart 8 from the inside. It has 4GB of RAM, 2GB of which are virtual. A microSD card slot supplements the 128GB of built-in storage. A USB-C port on the phone can charge the 5,000mAh battery at 10W. It has Android 13-based XOS 13 installed The Infinix Smart 8 color options are Black, White, Green, and Gold. It retails in Nigeria for NGN 82,000 ($105) and is now on sale there.
