Since the Infinix Hot 10 is a cheap phone, it is not surprising that it is made of cheap materials. The back panel is made of shiny plastic and looks like it has glitter on it, which we’ve seen on other cheap smartphones.  The camera glass sits flat on the back, and there isn’t much camera bump. It also feels thin and has rounded sides, making it easy to hold. But with a 6.78-inch screen, it’s no surprise that the Hot 10 is huge. In most cases, using it with one hand is nearly impossible. Regarding the screen, the front bezels aren’t the smallest, but using a punch hole instead of a notch for the selfie camera improved the screen-to-body ratio. On the top is a small hole for the earpiece and the LED notification light, a feature that cell phones rarely have.

It could be better, but it works. It even has a setting called “Inadvertently Mode,” which stops the phone from turning on by accident when it slides around in your pocket. The speaker and free earplugs work, but nothing special about them. You can also play with the DTS and software-level audio settings to improve the sound.

The Infinix Hot 10 has an octa-core MediaTek Helio G70 processor and a Mali-G52 GPU. For an entry-level smartphone, it was easy to use for basic and everyday jobs. Like most phones, the camera takes clear, bright, and colorful pictures with enough light. The depth sensor can smartly figure out what’s in the center, creating a blurry background that looks real. We also like that the macro camera lets you get close to a subject, but the quality could be better because it only has a 2-megapixel lens. The 8-megapixel selfie camera, on the other hand, could have taken a sharper picture, but it didn’t.

The Infinix Hot 10 has a fingerprint scanner on the back. It takes me two or three tries before it can correctly read my fingerprint and open the phone. The face could be faster. It also has Find My Device and Google Play Protect. On the other hand, the last time Android security was updated was in November, and the last time Google Play’s system was updated was in May 2020.
