Body & Design
The Zero 8i from Infinix has a style that is very pleasing to the eye. The two-tone matte finish on the back makes it look much more high-end than a shiny finish would have. Another benefit is that it doesn’t show fingerprints and smudges as much as other materials. Even though the body and frame are both made of plastic, the back of the device looks more polished than the back of older Infinix devices.
The camera module on the back of the device is shaped like a quadrilateral. The screen on this one is just giant! It has a 6.85-inch IPS LCD screen with a pill-shaped cutout for the dual selfie camera in the top-left corner. The top and sides of the bezels are narrow, but the chin at the bottom is normal. The fact that it weighs more than 210 grams and has a big screen makes it clear that it is bulky. The screen also has an extra layer of protection in Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The ports and buttons, like the primary microphone, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C connection, are on the bottom of the device. There is also where the speaker grille is. The volume rockers (Volume Up Down Button) are on the right side of the device, and the power button, which also acts as a fingerprint reader, is on the same side. On the left side of the device, you’ll find the SIM tray and a place for a microSD card. This type doesn’t come with a secondary noise-canceling microphone, which is a shame because it should have.
Display
The screen on the Infinix Zero 8i is 6.85 inches, which makes it one of the most enormous screens on a smartphone in this price range. The highest resolution of the Full High-Definition Plus screen is 1080 by 2460 pixels, and there are 392 pixels per inch. The screen-to-body ratio is 87.04 percent, and the aspect ratio is 20:9. In 2023, panels with a faster refresh rate will be one of the most sought-after tech features. The Zero 8i’s screen has a speed refresh rate of 90Hz, which makes it easy and looks fast to scroll. However, it still needs to improve before competing with the 90Hz screens on more expensive phones.
Even though you’ll have a lot of fun swiping on the Zero 8i’s screen, watching multimedia on that giant screen is a truly immersive experience. The FHD+ screen makes colors that are bright while still looking natural. Also, the views for seeing were better than usual. Even in places with natural light, the screen can be made bright enough, just like the screen on a smartphone. The phone has Widevine L3 certification instead of Widevine L1 certification, so you can stream Netflix and Amazon Prime Video material. Still, the quality could be better. But if Infinix wants to, they can fix this problem with a software update. The Infinix Zero 8i’s screen is good all around, from the colors to the brightness to the smooth scrolling at 90Hz. In general, it’s a great show.
Hardware & software
MediaTek makes the system-on-a-chip (SoC) that gives the Infinix Zero 8i its power. The Mali-G76 GPU and the 12nm chipset are potent combinations that can handle light, average, or heavy use. Even the device could do the most labor-intensive tasks without slowing down or stuttering. It could only slow it down.
It couldn’t make it switch between programs, scroll through the user interface, edit images, or even look up settings choices. Regarding games, the Helio G90T is better than other processors because it has a better visual core. Almost all the most famous Android games, like Asphalt 9, Genshin Impact, and others, can be played without frame drops or lags. This is made possible by the 90Hz screen, which makes the experience of playing games with higher frame rates much smoother.
The Infinix Zero 8i comes with an operating system (OS) called XOS 7, based on Android 10. Aside from minor changes to the usual program icons and the settings page, the user interface has mostly stayed the same, which you can see immediately. One of the new features is the video ringtone, which lets you set up a video as a number ID. This new astute reader can also read and translate over 40 languages and scan QR codes. The phone has many useless apps (called “bloatware”), and you still see those awful ads all over the user interface, just like on every other Infinix phone.
Camera
The primary lens on the Infinix Zero 8i has 48 megapixelshttps://shobujtech.com/product/infinix-note-10-price-in-pakistan/. It also has an ultra-wide camera with 8 megapixels, a depth camera with 2 megapixels, and an AI sensor. The primary camera on the dual front-facing camera has a 16-megapixel resolution, while the ultra-wide camera has an 8-megapixel resolution.
The daytime photos look good, with enough detail and a wide range of brightness. The colors were true to the original and had many differences between them. When you take a picture with the Wide-Angle lens, there is a good amount of information in the middle of the frame. Still, the edges of the image are very out of focus. Compared to the primary camera, this backup camera has less vivid colors.
The primary selfie camera, which has 16 megapixels, can take pictures with information. The photos looked much better when I moved to the ultra-wide selfie lens. The contrast and color saturation were much better. The portrait mode selfies look great, with precise edges and a blurred background that looks great.
The primary camera can take video at a frame rate of 30 frames per second at a maximum resolution of 4K. Infinix has done a great job of ensuring that the movies being recorded are stable. Even though I was moving around as I filmed, the back and front cameras took pretty steady footage.
Storage & Security
Regarding storage, the UFS 2.1 file system only works with 128 gigabytes of room and 8 gigabytes of RAM. Use the MicroSD port on the tray with three SIM card slots to add more storage space.
The fingerprint reader for the Zero 8i is on the side of the phone. This sensor is also the start button, which can quickly read your fingerprints. A feature called “Face Unlock” also recognizes your face pretty quickly and almost always gets it right. You can always set up a six-digit password or PIN to keep your account safe.
Multimedia & Connectivity
The phone only has one speaker, which comes out of the bottom. It could sound better, but it does its job. Make sure to use headphones when you watch movies or play games. If the phone has a 3.5mm audio port, the answer is yes; you can use wired earphones or TWS.
The Infinix Zero 8i can work with two SIM cards (nano-SIMs), and both SIMs can connect to 4G networks. The Infinix Zero 8i has almost all the common ways to connect to the internet today, such as dual-band Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi talking, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C 2.0, and USB On-The-Go. There is support for GPS, GLONASS, and A-GPS as well. The Zero 8i has a light sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, and compass, among other devices.
Battery
The Infinix Zero 8i has a battery that can hold 4,500 mAh and can’t be removed. It also works with fast charging at 33W. But Infinix only gives you an 18W charger in the package. If you want to use 33W fast charging, you must buy an extra 33W charger. If you only use the phone occasionally, the battery will die around 7 p.m. There could be more time between charges.
