Too many things need to be added to the Infinix Note 12 Pro 4G to be recommended. Ultra-wide lenses, metal unibodies, dual microphones, carrier aggregation, 5G compatibility, and 120Hz refresh rates are absent. Also, the OS is full of bloatware. It doesn’t have an ultra-wide lens, but they gave it a camera with 108MP and a sensor with 2MP+2MP. The cams could be better.

Sim & Network
The Infinix Note 12 Pro is a smartphone that works with 4G. This phone doesn’t have a 5G connection. This is something that this gadget needs to include. On the other hand, the Note 12 Pro offers dual-band WiFi and a hotspot, which is standard.
Design & Build Quality
The Infinix is a good-looking mid-range smartphone. On the front, as expected, there is a large screen (6.7 inches) separated by a bit of space in the upper corner to contain the camera for images and video calls. The device’s back is made of rough plastic, which gives it some charm.
The cell phone is large but lightweight (190g), making it simple to hold without looking bulky. The headphone jack, which is becoming less frequent, is on the right side of the device, along with the volume and on/off buttons. On the left are the chip and SD card slot.
The display is a top-notch model. It has Full HD+ resolution, an AMOLED screen, and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. But, as expected from AMOLED screens, the images shown are excellent, with accurate colors, good contrast, and good white balance.
Display
The Infinix Note 12 Pro 4G has a 6.70-inch AMOLED screen that can get as bright as 1000 nits and has a frame rate of 60Hz. The front is made of Gorilla Glass 3. The back and frame are made of plastic. The device has broad Vine L1 support to watch FHD+ videos on all OTT platforms.
Yes, the AMOLED screen is excellent. The colors look bright whether you want to watch a movie or play a game. It also has a screen that stays on all the time, which you can change in settings. The brightness of 1000 nits will help you read articles or watch YouTube movies outside. Overall, Infinix has saved money on fingerprint by giving it a repeat rate of 60Hz.
Software and Hardware
The MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, an updated version of the Helio G96, is found in the Infinix Note 12 Pro 4G. MediaTek mainly updated the CPU, meaning the SoC should have better battery life. The GPU also got a minor upgrade. The phone runs on XOS 10.6, which is built on Android 12. Infinix hasn’t said anything about changes in the future, but it should get Android 13 eventually.
Regarding the XOS, I’ve made a lot of negative remarks. It’s one of the worst skins for Android, and something needs to be done about it. Infinix has been offering good phones at reasonable prices. Still, I hesitated to suggest their phones because of the software. The MediaTek Helio G99 doesn’t allow 5G connectivity, so you must stick with 4G. The Infinix Note 12 Pro 4G is also a good smartphone for games and day-to-day use, but Infinix charges a lot for what it offers.
Camera
A big part of any smartphone is its camera. The Infinix Note 12 Pro 4G has a main camera with 108MP, a depth camera with 2MP, and a 2MP QVGA camera. On the front, there is a 16MP camera for taking selfies. The front and back cameras can take 1440p/30 frames per second movies. It doesn’t have OIS, so it mainly uses EIS. The EIS doesn’t work well because it rests on software. We all know XOS is good, but the EIS doesn’t work well.
The 108MP is just for show; it doesn’t give you 108MP pictures. When the lighting is good, it takes pictures that look pretty good. Sometimes, the dynamic range causes problems, but if you take two or three shots, you might get one that looks good. The camera app that comes with the device has a lot of built-in effects and a mode for use at night.
Regarding the 16MP front cameras, beauty mode is turned on by default, and you can’t change it. Remember to consider the natural colors when taking pictures with the front camera. When you take a selfie in low light, the picture will be bright, clear, and noisy.
Multimedia & Connectivity
The Infinix Note 12 Pro 4G has stereo speakers and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The speakers could be better, and the sound could be more apparent. The gadget has no second microphone that cancels noise or supports carrier aggregation. In part, on connectivity, the device supports WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and other essential sensors.
Storage & Security
Infinix has put a fingerprint sensor on the side, a great way to save money. The instrument is not slow but as fast as it can get. However, putting a fingerprint reader on the side of a phone with an AMOLED screen doesn’t make any sense. Still, we all know that a fingerprint sensor on the side is cheaper than one on the screen, so look at it this way. Also, the waterdrop notch on the 2022 phone doesn’t look good.
Battery
The device has a 5,000mAh battery that can be charged quickly with 33W, and yes, the 33W charger is included in the box. Because of the MediaTek Helio G99 chip, the battery will last long. As I’ve said, how long a battery lasts often depends on how it’s used. If the person plays games for five to six hours, they must charge the device twice daily. If the user doesn’t play games for that long, the device will last a day without any problems.
