Redmi Note 10 Pro Design
Redmi Note 10 Pro is one of the few Redmi phones with an IP rating. It’s IP53. The phone is dust-proof and can withstand light rain and spraying water. Xiaomi also included a silicone cover with a lid for the USB port. This should give you even more excellent protection. The Redmi Note 10 Pro is a typical smartphone, aside from being waterproof against water and dust. The new 120Hz OLED screen has a flat Gorilla glass five on top, a slightly bent piece of glass at the back, and a glossy plastic frame.
The new 6.67-inch OLED screen is the focal point of the front. It has a standard 1080p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Note 10 Pro looks and feels great. Although the bezels on the Note 10 Pro are pretty thin, it still has a beautiful feel. However, the chin is trimmed less than on flagships.
Corning Gorilla Glass 5 Protection
Gorilla Glass 5 is the protection of the screen. It is primarily flat and has 2.5D edges. One very thin earpiece grille will be found at the end of the screen. The directional speaker is located behind the earpiece. It acts as an earpiece for calls (the sound comes from this grille) and a stereo speaker to play music (the sound comes through the vent at the top of your phone). One tiny hole is cut into the OLED panel to allow for the 16MP selfie cam. The thing, no matter how small it may be, is a pain in the eyes for perfectionists. The camera is not centered in the cutout. It is also higher than necessary, nearly touching the top border while leaving more space at the bottom.
Redmi Note 10 Pro does not have an under-screen fingerprint scanner. Xiaomi still relies on the always-on, side-mounted sensor. It’s fast and accurate. It can be found on the Power key. You can fix all issues by switching the Fingerprint Recognition Method to Touch to Press. The Redmi Note 10 Pro looks and feels thinner because the rear glass curves towards the frame. This setup of quad cameras is what’s most interesting.
The camera setup is made up of a staircase-shaped arrangement of glass. The lower piece has the larger, raised LED flash. There also appears to be laser-autofocus, But Xiaomi has not given details. It could also be a different sensor, such as a color temperature or a light one. The four cameras are contained in the top glass. The Samsung 108MP camera is the largest. Below is the macro camera with a telephoto lens (5MP) and depth sensor (2MP). The 8MP ultrawide angle snapper is last.
Body Features
Although the frame is made from plastic and glossy, it’s more slippery and slippery than we thought. It’s easier to see the screen, but it is very good at grip. The left side has a single ejectable tray. It is a tri-card slot, which allows you to place two nano-SIM and one microSD card. The volume rocker, power button, and fingerprint scanner are on the right.
The top appears crowded. Here you will find the IR blaster, a second microphone, a speaker grille, and the 3.5mm jack. The other speaker is at the bottom, with the USB- Type C port and the mouthpiece. The Redmi Note 10 Pro is shorter than the Redmi Note 9 Pro by 2mm and is hair-thinner. It is 16g lighter than its predecessor, weighing 193 grams.
Note 10 Pro is very pleasant to use. Although the Note’s back is slippery, most people can easily handle it. Unless your hands get sweaty, you need to be careful. The box has a protective case, so you are protected from the beginning. The Redmi Note 10 Pro feels light and comfortable in the hands and pockets. You will notice a difference in weight compared to the Note 9 Pro.
The Note 10 Pro was a good product by Xiaomi – although it wasn’t perfect execution (remember the selfie cutout), it’s an excellent choice for this price range. We were also delighted to see the official IP53 rating. Let’s hope all mid-rangers do the same this year.
120 Hz AMOLED Display
The most significant upgrade Note 10 pro display than Redmi 9 Series. Redmi Note 10 Pro retains its average size – 6.67 inches is the standard Notes display, but it now has a premium 120Hz OLED panel. The screen resolution is standard 1,080×2,400 pixels or 395ppi. The selfie camera has a small hole for the punch, but the snapper may not be centered within the hole.
The display is protected by corning Gorilla Glass 5, Not Victus. The factory also applies a thin protective film. However, we didn’t like it because it needed to be aligned better out of the box. The screen now supports adaptive refresh rates of 60Hz and 120Hz. The screen also features a touch-sensing layer with a 240Hz sampling rate. It feels very responsive and smooth. HDR10 certification is available, which can be combined with Widevine L1 DRM support to ensure the highest quality streaming.
Let’s discuss the adaptive refresh rate. There are two options for adaptive refresh rate: Standard and Medium. Although the 120Hz option is dynamic, it is not as dynamic as Samsung AMOLEDs. Note 10 Pro’s screen displays 120fps. However, it reverts to 60Hz when the image is static for battery-saving purposes. The screen works at 60Hz for some apps and Netflix, YouTube, and Prime Video.
Xiaomi advertises a maximum auto-brightness for HDR content of 700 nits (typical), 450 nits manual, or 1200 nits peak. Peak brightness is 1200 nits. This means that only a tiny portion of the screen is occupied by content, likely when you are watching HDR video.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro Software
Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro was among the first smartphones to receive Android 11 and MIUI 12. The MIUI 12 launcher is a prominent feature. It runs on an older Android 11 base, but you won’t be able to tell because it skins everything perfectly.
Although it may sound like a minor update to the MIUI 12.5 software, the company has internally redesigned the entire package to reduce core apps’ power and memory consumption. It has also improved visual design and aesthetics. Redmi Note 10 Pro has always-on display features. You can either schedule it or turn it off/on at will. MIUI 12 offers a variety of AOD themes that you can choose from to make your device unique. Many of these can be customized.
The side-mounted fingerprint scanner unlocks the screen. It is straightforward to use, fast, and accurate. As the reader will be reading your fingers, we recommend that you set the unlock method as Press. This will allow the reader to read your entire hand and disable fingerprint unlock until your PIN is entered. Redmi Note 10 Pro has a 2D Face Unlock system, which is less secure than the fingerprint option.
Performance & Storage
Redmi Note 10 Pro uses the Snapdragon 732G processor in the Poco X3 NFC. The Snapdragon 732G hardware resembles the vanilla S730G and S730G. Two Kryo 470 Gold cores (Cortex A76) are available in the octa-core processor. Six Kryo 470 silver (Cortex A55) cores work at 2.3 GHz, and six Kryo 470 Platinum (Cortex -A55). All of them are built on an 8nm LPP Node. All S73x chips use the Adreno 618 DSP. The 730 G’s clock speed is 75 MHz faster than the S730 and is 575 MHz. The Redmi Note 10 Pro can clock up to 800MHz.
Redmi Note 10 Pro comes with 64GB or 128GB UFS2.2 storage. Both storage options come with 6GB LPDDR4 RAM. However, a limited 8GB RAM and 128GB storage option will be available. It handles everything you throw at it. Android+MIUI runs incredibly smoothly on the screen, and the experience is flagship-quality. Only a few games can be optimized for HDR displays.
Camera
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro features a quad-camera arrangement on the back. It has a familiar setup: a high-resolution primary camera is followed by ultrawide and macro shooters, then a smaller depth sensor.
The primary camera has a 108MP Samsung ISOCELL H2 1/1.52″ sensor with 0.7um pixels and an f/1.9 6P zoom. Nona-Bayer is the color filter. It combines nine sensor pixels into one 2.1um and produces 12MP. PDAF is possible, but there is no optical stability. This camera supports night Mode.
Ultrawide shooters use an 8MP Sony IMX355 camera with an f/2.2 lens. The macro snapper uses a 5MP OmniVision OV5675 1/5″ sensor with a telemacro F/2.4 lens. This camera has autofocus and can focus at 3 cm to 10 cm. The last camera is a 2MP depth sensor GC02M1 on the back. The 16MP Sony IMX471 1/3″ sensor is used with a
The macro photos at 5MP are rich in detail and have vibrant colors. Although the contrast could be better and the images are noisy, it’s still a good choice. The macro camera should be used for still subjects when the surroundings are well-lit. Any other method will not work. Portrait photos can be taken with the primary camera using the 2MP depth sensor. These are saved as 12MP. The subject separation is good, even though it could be better. These photos are well-detailed, with excellent contrast and vibrant colors.
Selfies, 16MP Portrait selfies can also be taken. Even though they could be more detailed, you’d get some great shots. It’s easy to isolate the subject and blur the background.
Video
Redmi Note 10 Pro can capture 4K@30fps videos using its primary camera and 1080p@30fps video with its ultrawide and macro cameras. Only the primary camera can capture 1080p @ 60fps.
All 1080@30fps modes can have optional electronic stabilization. All videos were recorded at 96Kbps stereo. Although the bitrate was not wrong, we expected more from a mid-ranger.
Multimedia
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro seems to have stereo speakers. The phone has two grilles at the sides, which allow for balanced sound. Although we are still determining if the top speaker acts as an earpiece or if there is one elsewhere, the vital thing to note is that they both sound good and seem equal. Redmi Note 10 Pro has Very Good Sounds. Although the setup has good mid and high tones, it lacks bass.
Some Best Features
MIUI 12 has an app drawer that automatically sorts your apps. All is the first, which means it includes all apps. Next, follow Entertainment, Photography, and Tools. These categories can be edited or disabled entirely. If you don’t like the idea of an app drawer, you can disable it altogether.
The Notification shade is split into Notification Center or Control Center. This is another exciting feature. You can summon them by pulling down on the left or right sides of the screen to access the Notification Center and the Control Center. The shade will then revert to its original appearance and operation.
The task switcher is unchanged. It displays all your most recent apps in two columns. To open the split-screen shortcut, tap and hold on a card. Or swipe it left or right for it to be closed. The new MIUI 12 Floating Windows button is located at the top. The app can be placed in a floating System. However, you can only have one floating window at any given time. MIUI 12 also has themes & which can be downloaded from the official Store. They can change wallpapers and ringtones as well as system icons and fonts.
Security
Xiaomi has added privacy options to MIUI 12. You can delete location information and other metadata when you share photos or videos. Protect your privacy and device information better. Neat.
MIUI also has a Security app. It can scan your phone for malware and manage your blocklist. You can also manage or restrict data usage. It allows you to manage permissions and configure battery behavior for selected apps.
Others Features
MIUI 12 includes a proprietary Gallery, Music, and Video player. Some regions may offer paid streaming options for music and video apps. The Mi Remote is also available for the IR blaster. Redmi Note 10 Pro can support FM radio. You will find the right app. MIUI 12 also supports Dark Mode. You can force it to use wallpapers or limit its application to incompatible apps.
MIUI 12 has been optimized for HDR displays and looks stunning on the Redmi Note 10 Pro. Everything runs smoothly and quickly. Animations are subtle but impressive. The attention to detail is just excellent. Working with MIUI on Redmi Note 10 Pro’s Redmi Note 10 Pro 120Hz was a pleasure.
Battery
Redmi Note 10 Pro’s 5,020mAh battery is sufficient for a device with such hardware. The Redmi Note 10 Pro’s battery endurance score was 112 hours. Both screen-on and screen-off tests were excellent. The video test was run at 60Hz because it turned out that most popular video apps, such as Mi Video, use a 60Hz refresh rate.
Redmi Note 10 Pro has a 33W Charging adapter with a 3A-rated USB Type – C cable. This combo is fast, as seen on the Poco X3 NFC. The bundled charger takes you from flat to half-off in just 30 minutes.
Our Opinion
It’s hard to find faults with the Redmi Note 10 Pro. Although the Redmi Note 10 Pro may not be perfect, its flaws are easily forgiven and forgotten. The Note is closing the gap on flagship smartphones. Redmi Note 10 Price In Pakistan is very good, we think.
