SAMSUNG GALAXY A54 INTRODUCTION
Samsung Galaxy A54 was announced on 15 March 2023 and released on 24 March 2023. This A series is a Samsung successor lineup. The A54 supports a 5G network with 2G, 3G, and 4G. The Galaxy A54 has dual-band support, wifi, and bluetooth 5.3. The design is very fresh and friendly, with the dimension 158.2 x 76.7 x 8.2 mm (6.23 x 3.02 x 0.32 in) and a weight of 202g. The phone body is built with plastic, and the front is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. This device has IP67 dust/water resistant features, a flagship feature. The Phone has four colour options- Lime, Graphite, Violet, and White.
Samsung Galaxy A54 display size is 6.4 inches, and the display type is Super AMOLED with Full HD+ 1080 x 2340 pixels resolutions. The A54 has a 120Hz support panel. The Samsung Galaxy A54 comes with Exynos 1380 (5 nm) Octa-Core chipset and Android 13, One UI 5.1. Mali-G68 MP5 for GPU. The storage type is UFS 2.1, which is 6GB RAM 128GB, 8GB RAM 128GB, and 8GB RAM 256GB. The A54 has an Extra micro sd card slot for storage expansion. The Samsung Galaxy Has a triple Camera setup of 50MP+12MP+5MP. The selfie camera is a single 32MP. The Galaxy A54 is Powered by a 5000mAh battery.
SAMSUNG GALAXY A54 BODY & DESIGN
The integration of the Galaxy design style across the lineup is accelerating. The A series has also begun to utilize the same camera setup. The three camera lenses, all wrapped in a shiny ring, are visible by about 2 millimetres. The Phone is resting on its bottom. While the lens’s design is designed to look like the top models, the back panel doesn’t look exactly like the ones they use. It’s made of plastic, and Samsung could have promoted it as Gorilla Glass; however, it’s also shiny. It’s different from the S23 family’s matte finish. It’s also a departure from the matte A-series aesthetic of the two previous generations.
The frame is made of plastic, and the absence of antenna lines suggests it’s plastic. While it’s designed to look like the top models, it’s not as expensive inside. Around here, we can mention that the Samsung Galaxy A54 has an IP67 rating. Water and dust resistance in mid-range phones is relatively rare, so it’s worthwhile to emphasize it on phones that feature it. The nice-clicking physical buttons are on the right side, while the USB-C port sits on the lower left. There are two pinholes at the bottom. There could also be a microphone behind them in addition to the main loudspeaker. A second microphone is above where the card slot has been relocated to a different location and is now on the lower part.

The Galaxy A54 has a 6.4-inch OLED display surrounded by a meatier-than-expected black border. The completely smooth Gorilla Glass 5 sheet also emits a similar impression. It’s true that the A54 appears and feels identical to its S23 and S23+. It’s a good phone, but what the Galaxy A54 does have is an under-display fingerprint sensor. It’s an optical sensor that is quick and reliable; however, if you allow us to make one issue, it’s the poor placement. The S-series have a better place.
A new design is a change from a 20:9 display to a 19.5:9 aspect ratio for the display. A54 is not just heavier than A53; it’s also larger – by 3 millimetres- an enormous distinction in this direction that can be felt. In the context of the A54, is its lack of personality an advantage over other models with bizarre designs and colours, or can it be counted as a Galaxy to attract people to purchase it? The Galaxy A54’s design is easy to see; it’s just not that designed to be.
GALAXY A54 SUPER AMOLED DISPLAY
One of the more surprising technological advancements Galaxy A54 Galaxy A54 comes with a smaller screen. Still, however, the change from a 6.5-inch to a 6.4-inch diagonal will be evident in the spec sheet comparisons. It’s still a 1080p OLED display (1,080×2,340px resolution; 19.5:9 dimensions, 403ppi resolution, 403 PPI) and has a 120Hz refresh speed with some adaptive capabilities.
However, Samsung has increased the brightness of this model, claiming 1000nits in high-brightness modes, in contrast to the 800nits on previous models. It’s worth noting that the A54 comes with Samsung’s Vision Booster algorithm, which employs different tone mapping and changes the colours to make it easier to read in bright conditions. This is one of the features from the S-series flagships that are trickling down the line.
Regarding colours, The A54 is a faithful two-choice menu using the default Vivid mode, offering a broad range of vibrant colours, and Natural delivers an edgier appearance. Vivid was accurate for our DCI-P3 target swatches. It was not too attractive, even though adjusting the 5-position slider for a temperature too warm for nearly perfect whites is possible. Natural mode, in contrast, was highly accurate for the sRGB content.

According to hardware-checking apps, The Galaxy A54 supports the HDR10 and HDR10+ standards, and we got HDR streams on YouTube. Netflix, however, has yet to be able to allow this specific Galaxy to support HDR streaming. Still, it aligns with the Galaxy A54’s Widevine L1 certification and readily offers FullHD streams.
As is the norm as usual, like every other Phone, the Motion smoothness menu provides two options to choose the refresh rate: Adaptive and Standard. Standard is the option to run at 60Hz continuously. Adaptive declares it will remain at 120Hz when registering input from touch and dial down to 60Hz after a few minutes of no activity. Games with high-fps capabilities can refresh at a constant 120Hz rate, while non-30fps video (24fps or 48fps) or 60fps) will also keep the display at 120Hz.
Most of the time, people, the under-display fingerprint scanner is likely to be the most preferred method of unlocking. However, you may still opt for face unlock in lieu or conjunction. It is a good option in specific scenarios. However, it usually needs to be more secure as it is based on an image camera. You can choose to have the fingerprint icon on the AoD or not, and you could always turn on the reader or just after you restart the screen.
GALAXY A54 SOFTWARE
Samsung’s Galaxy A54 runs Android 13, augmented through Samsung’s One UI in its current 5.1 version. The list of exclusive Samsung functions that the S series comes with and the A54 has shorter than the A14; the only difference is that DeX is absent. You can select from various clock styles from the always-on display or choose the Image Clock. Music information is also available. Set the AoD to always off or always-on, scheduled or only shown when new notifications are available, or you can choose to show the AoD on tap for 10 seconds.
GALAXY A54 PERFORMANCE
One of the most significant enhancements to the Galaxy A54 is the chipset. Samsung’s own Exynos 1380 chipset is manufactured using 5nm technology. It has a faster GPU and CPU than the Exynos 1280, which powered the A53. A possibility is that the A54 is simply a return to the standard set in those running the A52s (Snapdragon 778G) which the A53 dropped down to. Still, when we set an annual limit on our memory, it is clear that the A54 is an upgrade.
This CPU has an arrangement of two clusters, comprising 4x Cortex-A78 processors running with speeds of up to 2.4GHz and a 4x Cortex-A55 that can reach 2.0GHz. The E1280’s CPU is equipped with the same kinds of cores and ticks at the same speeds; however, it’s a 2+6 configuration, so multi-core CPU-intensive tasks will benefit from the latest chipset. A reference to the SD778G within the A52s is a one-to-three and four-core configuration, which includes four A78s in addition to 4 A55s and less frequency. The GPU in the E1380’s GPU is Mali G68 MP5 – which is one more MP than A1280’s GPU, indicating an additional core. Memory configurations start at 128GB of storage space and 6GB of RAM, maxing out at 8GB/256GB.
SAMSUNG GALAXY A54 CAMERA
The Galaxy A54 comes with what is an identical camera system. The primary camera is a brand new 50MP model this time, along with the depth sensor of 5MP. has been gone, and the 12MP ultrawide and the 5MP’macro’ have been reintroduced. The Phone is interested in something other than divulging the exact sensor Samsung used to create the primary camera. It can combine four pixels and produces 12.5MP images as default. The lens is an equivalent focal length of 23mm, as well as it has an f/1.8 aperture.
The ultrawide has a pixel size of 1.12um. The A54 also has an ultrawide with 12MP resolution, so there’s a possibility that it’s the exact configuration. The EXIF information indicates an equivalent length of 13mm while the aperture reads f/2.2. The focus is fixed, so you can’t use it for close-ups.
There’s a dedicated camera designed for those, but it’s a 5-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture. However, its focus is also fixed at around 4 centimetres. To take selfies, you’ll have a front-facing camera with 32MP, the most popular A5x lineup, and available in many other Galaxies. This 1/2.8″ sensor has an 0.8um resolution, and the fixed-focus lens has the same focal.
VIDEO
Samsung Galaxy A54 records video up to 4K30 using the rear camera and 1080p with 60fps. It is available from the primary camera if you want a fast frame rate. Stabilization only works for 1080p at 30fps, however. The default codec used is h.264; however, you can have the option of enabling h.265 should you wish to reduce space.
The 2x zoom setting can deliver usable 4K video clips. However, they do display evidence of scaling. The 1080p video clips at 2x zoom are amazing. Stabilization might not be present in 4K recordings. However, the stabilization you receive when shooting 1080p can be very effective.
GALAXY A54 SPEAKER & BATTERY
Samsung’s Galaxy A54 has the usual stereo system with one speaker bottom, with the earpiece as an additional speaker. It’s the simplest of designs – the earpiece is placed on the left channel in the vertical direction. The media are switched similarly in landscape orientation, and each speaker can output the track it is on. There aren’t any changes to the battery’s capacity this year after the A53 from 2022 increased to the gold standard of 5,000mAh. Samsung’s Galaxy A54 is rated for 25W of ch.
