Design & Display
With the F17 Pro, Oppo has made yet another thin and light smartphone. It is only 7.48 mm thick and weighs 164 g, making it very easy to use for extended amounts of time, whether chatting or playing games. The Oppo F17 Pro has a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED screen on the front. It has a full-HD+ resolution and can get as bright as 800nits.
Hardware & Software
One of the only ways to get the Oppo F17 Pro is with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. It has the MediaTek Helio P95 SoC. Odin 10 on the Oppo F17 Pro is based on ColorOS 7.2. When I used the Oppo F17 Pro daily, it felt quick and fast when I loaded apps or went through Android’s menu system.
Camera
The Oppo F17 Pro has six cameras, which the company calls “AI portrait cameras.” The prominent Samsung GM1 camera takes clear, detailed 12-megapixel binned pictures during the day. In the Back 48MP+8MP+2MP+2MP and Front 16MP+2MP.
Images taken in low light were alright, but when I enlarged them, I could see that the features could have been more apparent. Some dark spots, like the sky, had grain as well. Oppo F17 Pro lets you record movies up to 4K, but it doesn’t have stabilization, which is a shame.
Connectivity & Battery
There are many devices, such as Bluetooth, GPS, and dual-band WiFi, as ways to link. You also get an FM radio and a 3.5mm headphone jack. An Oppo F17 Pro battery with 4015 mAh capacity is inside. You can charge this thing with a USB Type-C 2.0 cable.
