Oppo A78 4G comes with an attractive design & performance. The device was launched in 2023 on July 10, with an aggressive price point.

Design

The smartphone’s dimensions are 160 x 73.2 x 7.9 mm (6.30 x 2.88 x 0.31 in), with Glass Front and Plastic Body. The device works with two SIM cards (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by). The smartphone comes in Mist Black and Aqua Green color options and features IP54, dust, and splash resistance.

Display

The Oppo A78 4G has a 6.43 inches, 99.8 cm2 (~85.2% screen-to-body ratio) AMOLED display. The screen has a pixel density of 409 pixels per inch, an aspect ratio of 20:9, and a 1080 by 2400 pixels resolution. It offers a 90Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling with multitouch and 16M color support.

Hardware & Software

The Adreno 610 GPU and eight-core Qualcomm SM6225 Snapdragon 680 4G (6 nm) CPU in the A78 4G make it the fastest phone on the market. The phone has special software called ColorOS 13.1, built on Android 13.

The smartphone has two storage options, 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB, with LPDDr4X type RAM and a storage expansion facility. 

Camera

The Oppo A78 4G has two camera sensors in the back: 50MP+2MP. With 10809@30fps video recording, it has an LED flash, HDR, panning, and more. You will get an 8Mp lens to take selfies and record videos at 10809@30fps.

Multimedia

There is a split speaker with audio, video, and recording and a 3.5mm headphone jack to enjoy more media types. This Oppo A78 4G phone doesn’t work with FM radio, which is sad.

Connectivity

You will get the latest dual-band Wi-Fi connection, Bluetooth, navigation system, NFC, OTG, and USB Type-C in the connectivity options. For safety, there is a fingerprint reader under the screen that you can use to open the device. 

Battery

A 67W wired super rapid charging technology and a non-removable 5000 mAh battery power the A78 4G. The oppo claims the device can charge 76% in 30 min (Advertised).
