Design & Display

The dimensions of the device are 163.9 x 75.5 x 8.3 mm (6.45 x 2.97 x 0.33 in), and the weight is 180 g (6.35 oz). The A31 build material is Glass and Plastic: Glass front (Gorilla Glass 3), Plastic back, and Plastic frame. The phone has three color options: Fantasy White, Mystery Black, and Lake Green. 

The Oppo A31 display is 6.5 inches, and this is an IPS LCD panel with 720 x 1600 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, 82.4% screen-to-body ratio, 270 ppi density, and 480 nits (typ) brightness. The device supports multitouch with a 60Hz refresh rate. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 is utilized to provide extra protection for the display.  

Hardware & Software

The Oppo A31 has an octa-core MediaTek MT6765V/CB Helio P35 processor, and a chipset is built with 12nm technology. A PowerVR GE8320 GPU gives graphics power to this phone. The smartphone runs with ColorOS 6.1 custom software based on Android 9.0 (Pie). 

The A31 storage system uses eMMC 5.1 and LPDDR4X type RAM, giving it more speed. The phone comes with three variants: 4GB+64GB, 4GB+128GB, and 6GB+128GB, and you also get a MicroSD card slot for expanding the storage. 

Camera

The Oppo A31 has a Triple camera setup: 12MP+2MP+2MP with LED flashlight, auto HDR, panorama mode, and 1080p@30fps video recording. You can also get an 8MP front-facing camera for taking selfies. 

Multimedia & Connectivity

For a better multimedia experience, the Oppo company provides audio, video, loudspeaker, recording, FM radio, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

In the connectivity options, you will get Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, latest 5.0, A2DP, LE technology and GPS, GLONASS, BDS with Accelerometer, Gyro, Proximity, Compass sensors.
