Google Pixel Watch: Google has officially revealed its first premium-featured smartwatch. The Google Pixel Watch is a natural extension of the Pixel family. It combines smarts and usefulness from Google with Fitbit’s health and fitness expertise in an elegant design.

GOOGLE PIXEL WATCH DESIGN

The Google Pixel Watch was designed with comfort in mind. You can wear it for business meetings, night outs, or to relax. The sleek, slim-looking stainless steel body conceals the bold, circular 3D domed glasses. It is water-resistant (up to 5 ATM/50 meters) and scratch-resistant.

The tactile crown, inspired by a classic watch, controls on-screen scrolling and accesses shortcuts. It also initiates the app tray to provide you with the required information. You can access your most recent apps by clicking the side button above the crown.

The 19 customizable watch faces collection offers thousands of customization options, from the colors and layout to the information you most need. Google Photos lets you set your favorite photos to your watch face.

SOFTWARE AND INTERFACE

Google Pixel Watch uses Wear OS by Google (Wear OS 3.5) and provides the information you need at a glance. This makes tasks more accessible and gives you help when and where you need it. The interaction is smooth, responsive, and intuitive. You can customize your watch face and tiles to show more information. Google Assistant is built-in, so you can get personalized help wherever you are. With compatible smart devices, you can control smart home devices via the Google Home app. 

SOUND

YouTube Music Premium gives you access to more than 100 million songs for three months. You can also cache your favorite playlists with ample 32GB on-device storage. Or stream phone-free using the built-in 4G LTE cellular. You can also access more apps from Google Play Store, such as Calm, Spotify, and MyFitnessPal.

The Google Pixel Watch is an excellent companion for the Pixel devices you already love. Fast Pair allows your Pixel Buds to pair automatically with your watch. Once paired, you can call from the watch and quickly transition to your phone. Even if you use the phone to start your calls, your watch will provide music playback controls and turn-by-turn instructions.

GOOGLE PIXEL-WATCH FEATURE

Google Pixel Watch comes with an Emergency SOS feature that alerts emergency responders and trusted contacts when you are in an emergency or feel unsafe. Fall detection (coming soon in 2023) will detect if there has been a fall and connect you to emergency services. If you aren’t responding, it can also auto-dial.

HEALTH & FITNESS

Google Pixel Watch integrates with Fitbit to offer the best health and fitness features. This includes the most accurate heart rate monitoring. It provides a continuous measurement of your heart rate at one second per second, thanks to machine learning on the device and deep optimization below the processor. Google Pixel Watch has an entirely new Fitbit experience. There are 40 exercise modes to choose from to track your workouts, including distance, steps, distance, GPS, Active Zone Minutes, and more.

You can monitor your health and use the ECG app to detect Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) signs. Sleep Score and Sleep Stages help you understand your sleep and provide guidance powered by Fitbit’s 20 million nights of data. You can access critical metrics such as your heart rate variability and breathing rate on the Fitbit Health Metrics Dashboard.

OTHER FEATURES

The Pixel Watch is compatible with Pixel phones. You can also use it with Android 8.0+ smartphones. There are two connectivity options: built-in 4GLTE for phone-free, so it’s convenient, or Bluetooth/WiFi only. Google Fi subscribers can set up LTE with no additional line fees for most plans. Fast Pair use lets you connect your Google Pixel Watch to your phone. Existing Fitbit users can use the same device to continue their Fitbit activity. They will not lose any of their data.

BATTERY

Google Pixel Watch is reliable and can last you through the day with up to 24-hour battery life. It also has continuous per-second heart rate monitoring and health and activity tracking.

You can get a 50% battery charge in 30 minutes if needed. This is ideal for charging your phone before bed to keep track of your sleep.

GOOGLE PIXEL WATCH PRICE

The Pixel Watch starts at $349 for Bluetooth/WiFi and $399 for 4GLTE. This includes six months of Fitbit Premium, three months of YouTube Music Premium, and six months of Fitbit Premium. Accessory bands are available for as low as $49 to as high as $99.
