Asus wrote on Weibo, “Are you worried about having shaky hands while filming videos? To fix this problem, the ROG Phone 8 series has a gimbal that doesn’t shake. A recent story leaked all the essential details about the ROG Phone 8 and the ROG Phone 8 Pro.
The ROG Phone 8 Pro will likely have a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary camera with OIS, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 32-megapixel macro camera with 3x optical zoom.
There is no information about the ROG Phone 8’s camera specs. It’s expected to have the same camera setup without the zoom lens. Since there is still much time before the launch, Asus will likely release new hints with more information about the ROG Phone 8 series in the next few days.
Reports say the ROG Phone 8 series will have a new screen design with a punch-hole screen and a center punch-hole. Along with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, a 5.500mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging, a 32-megapixel front camera, and an IP68-rated body, it will have a 6.78-inch FHD+ 165Hz AMOLED screen.
The ROG Phone 8 may come with 256 GB of UFS 4.0 storage and 12 GB of LPDDR5x RAM. On the other hand, the Pro version might come with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage or 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. This line will use ROG UI-based Android 14.
Before going to China, it will be shown off for the first time at CES 2024 on January 8.
