The Nothing Phone (2a) is on the BIS certification site, which means it might be coming out soon. The gadget will likely be less expensive than the Nothing Phone.
Its model number is given as A142 on the BIS approval site. The AIN142 model number leaked earlier this week is different from this one. The two model names refer to different versions of the same item sold in other parts of the world.
The Nothing Phone (2a) will have a different battery than the Nothing Phone (2), also shown by the BIS approval. The number for this battery is NT03.
There are rumors that the Nothing Phone (2a) will still have the Glyph Interface on the back of it, which is a unique part of the design of the Nothing Phone (2). The phone should also have a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a selfie camera in the middle of it. Some people think the screen is not an LTPO panel like the one on the Nothing Phone.
The Nothing Phone (2a) is meant to be a cheaper option, so it’s expected to have a mid-range Snapdragon or MediaTek Dimensity chip. It still needs to be made clear how much the phone costs or how big its battery is.
It still needs to be clarified when Nothing Phone (2a) will come out. On the other hand, the fact that it was seen on the BIS approval site says that it might get released soon.
