Apple’s iOS 17.2 Beta Update Default Notification Sound: Apple’s latest iOS 17.2 beta update is a nice change for iPhone users who want to make their devices more unique. The new feature, found under “Sounds & Haptics,” lets you change the sound that plays when you get a message. Even though this change seems small, it represents a significant shift in how Apple thinks about user experience.
Note: Before, users could only change the sounds of e-mail and calendar alerts.
Previously, you could only change the sounds for calls, mail, and calendar alerts. With the new “Default Alerts” area, you can change all other signs similarly. In other words, users can now pick any text tones as their usual warning sound. This feature makes customization better and makes it easier to tell the difference between different kinds of alerts.
Apple has also responded to comments about the haptic alarm added in iOS 17. Now, users can return to the old haptic feedback or change it to suit their needs. For people who are sensitive to or picky about the physical feedback they get from their devices, this level of flexibility is a nice touch, especially regarding haptic feedback.
